The Day has Finally Come

Today, June 11, 2007 at 12:40 pm, the police came and took my brother away. I can't say I didn't see it coming. As I am writing this, he is on his way down to the station to get processed. There were 2 police cars parked outside my house, one on either side of the driveway, and as the neighbors came out to see what was going on, I just smiled and waved at them.
I don't want to be blamed for airing my family's dirty laundry more than I already have, so I won't say what he did. But I'm sure that the next time you see me, you'll hear the whole story.
I couldn't stop smiling as they put the cuffs on him and put him in the car. I know that sounds bad, but if you've heard me talk about my brother, you'd understand. Maybe I should introduce him to Leslie. I'm sure they'd get along famously.
-------------------------------------
Speaking of Leslie, I wonder what came of his most recent charges. I just got a text message yesterday from him that said "Bruce Lee Roy". I guess that means he's not in jail.
Its funny, because on one of the last days of school, he comes into my room and says "Hey we should all eat dinner tonight as a floor. I'd be kinda like a 'Last Supper'. We could have a Jesus, a Judas..." As he said this, I let a faint smile show on my face. Then he looks at me, smiles to indicate he got the message, and continues, "...I could be Judas...", and then trailed off. We both started laughing, and he left.

Back From College

I'm back at home. This has been one crazy year. RPI has been great. I'm trying to get an internship or job for the summer, and I just had an interview today at NASDAQ. They need a Website Administrator, and it seems like it would be perfect for me. I really hope I get this job, because then, I won't have to go back to Safeway.

Update: I didn't get the job. Oh well.

College

This is my first post since going to college. I have been moved in since Saturday the 19th, and classes will start on Monday. Let me tell you...being in college without any classes to go to is a blast! I've made tons of friends, and there have been alot of cool activities that the school has put on for us to do. There has been at least 2 carnival type parties, and a bunch of BBQs. A few nights ago, I went to see a hypnotist, who was hilarious. It was a great show. Then last night, I saw a comedian named Dan Gabriel. He was pretty funny too. The food is great at the dining halls. Today I got my bitchn' new laptop! Lenovo Thinkpad T60. Sweet. In fact, thats the computer I am on right now. It is the best laptop money can buy dude. My roomate is pretty cool, but he's not around all that much, so I don't really know that much about him. I don't really miss home all that much yet, but I do miss my puppies: Sonny and Cher. I also miss all my friends. Oh well. I'll be home for Christmas. LOL. Did I mention how cool my new laptop is? Very.

Fee TV (pt 2)

YAY!!! the TV came today. And its huge. Too bad I won't be able to watch it for at least a year. Right now its just sitting in the family room in front of the old TV. My dad is going to build a stand for it, so it may take a while for it to be hooked up. That means I probably won't get to see it in action until Christmas vacation. For those of you who don't know what I'm talking about, reference this page Fee TV (pt 1)

I got a facebook!

This has been a fun few weeks.

Aside from the sadness of leaving all of my friends, this has been a fun few weeks.

I had a lot of fun at the camping trip in the woods, and I enjoyed the LAN parties and seeing Superman Returns on IMAX. That was cool. David and I got to have a goodbye lunch with Mr. Robinette, and then we spent the afternoon at his house watching movies while we waited for 7:00 when we would all gather at Dominic’s for dinner. Not that the dinner itself wasn't fun, but I think the most memorable moment that night was the drunken lady who we encountered outside after dinner. I'm probably not the most worthy to re-tell the story, (because when I tell a story, I somehow manage to suck all the life out of an otherwise exciting event) so I won't. I'll just say that it was very hard not to laugh during our 7 minute, very one-sided conversation with her.

_______________________________________________________________________________

Anyway, two nights ago, my dad took me outside to the backyard and said "Come here, we're going to smoke a cigar." This didn't come as a shock to me, because I had suggested we do this about a month ago. So I was sitting on the back patio smoking my "first" cigar, and my dad keeps passing me a glass of wine to 'cool my mouth down' while we talk about all sorts of things. I don't know if it was the alcohol or the cigar that did it, but after I was half finished with the cigar, I began to feel light headed. Then when I was almost done with it, I began to feel really sick. My heart was beating really fast, I was incredibly lightheaded, and I was quite nauseated. About an hour later, after my dad had got me some club soda I felt better.

Now my dad feels bad for making me sick, I feel bad for getting sick, and I didn't get to finish the last 2 inches of my cigar. Oh well. At least we got to have a nice conversation.

Oh man, I shot Marvin in the face.

There's a passage I got memorized. Ezekiel 25:17. The path of the righteous man is beset on all sides by the inequities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil men. Blessed is he who, in the name of charity and good will, shepherds the weak through the valley of the darkness. For he is truly his brother's keeper and the finder of lost children. And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who attempt to poison and destroy my brothers. And you will know I am the Lord when I lay my vengeance upon you. I been sayin' that shit for years. And if you ever heard it, it meant your ass. I never really questioned what it meant. I thought it was just a cold-blooded thing to say to a motherfucker before you popped a cap in his ass. But I saw some shit this mornin' made me think twice. Now I'm thinkin': it could mean you're the evil man. And I'm the righteous man. And Mr. 9mm here, he's the shepherd protecting my righteous ass in the valley of darkness. Or it could be you're the righteous man and I'm the shepherd and it's the world that's evil and selfish. I'd like that. But that shit ain't the truth. The truth is you're the weak. And I'm the tyranny of evil men. But I'm tryin', Ringo. I'm tryin' real hard to be a shepherd.

New Cell Phone

As you may know, my cell phone has become 'chocofied', and I am unable to hear out of it unless the other person yells, and visa-versa. So I started looking for new phones at the Verizon store a couple weeks ago. My first choice is the Samsung SCH a930, shown here:

My second choice was the LG VX-8300 pictured here:

According to the Verizon plan we had earlier, we are entitled to get a new phone (up to $100) for free every two years. Since we have 2 phones under the same plan (mine and my mom's) my dad assumed that we would have 2 $100 dollar credits. So he ordered a phone for my mom first (which just so happened to be the LG VX-8300), and then when he went back to order the Samsung for me, he discovered that the website only supplied us with one $100 dollar credit for a new phone. This really sucks, because I was the one who needed the replacement phone in the first place! My dad spent the rest of the night trying to find out what to do, and in the end, he decided that once the phone gets here, we can return it. The phone arrived yesterday (I think) and since my dad is away on buisness, I have to wait until Friday for him to get back and do something about this.
